I wish I could say “I was born with a camera in my hand, and I’ve been doing it for yeeeears!” Nope. That’s not my story. If you’ve got a minute, make yourself comfy while I tell you a little about little ol’ me. If you would have found me a few years back and asked where I saw myself now…I‘d probably say “…med. school.” Yep, I was “that” gal. I’ve always been an over-achiever, and it was just expected that I become a doctor or something, but just before graduating I decided it wasn’t for me. I’m EXTREMELY emotional, I’m loving, I love crafts, and I love kids. Truth be told, I always knew where I belonged…I was just afraid of what everyone would think and concerned with how much money I would miss out on. Luckily, I realized what REALLY mattered before it was too late….So here I am in grad school for education. I get excited about going to work in the elementary schools, and I smile so big EVERY time I walk into a classroom and hear “Hiiiii, Ms. Evans!”. Yes, career wise…that’s my first love. My plan is to start in the classroom and eventually move into administration, but…that’s JUST a plan.
I found my other love (career-wise) browsing through an old classmate’s birth story album on Facebook a few years back. She’s a sweet girl with a beautiful family, but we’re not close friends or anything, but by the time I got to the end of her album I was in tears…& not just a few tears. I mean, they were streaming down my face. Did I mention I’m emotional? I’ll never forget thinking “Geez. Pictures are SO powerful. I’d love to play a role in THESE type of memories!” I found out who her photographer was and I started following her blog and researching “lifestyle photography”. I became so fascinated by it that I couldn’t focus on anything outside of it. I prayed about it, and I asked God to help me pursue this, and here we are…with the additional support from my amazing family, boyfriend, and friends, things are FINALLY falling into place! YAAAY! I’ve decided to keep God first in ALL of my endeavors and just allow Him to guide me. This blog-site will serve as my way to showcase my work and also an outlet to share my personal thoughts and experiences. If you’re still reading…WOW! Thanks for your time, and hopefully I can work with you and/or your little one (s) or you can just get a peek into my life.
Peace & Love.
& just in case you haven’t officially met me…YET. I’m the one down below in the cap and gown with THE blue hood.
